Condoleezza Rice was born in Birmingham, Alabama, to a single mother. She was raised in a middle-class neighborhood, and she attended the University of Denver and the University of Notre Dame. Rice worked as a professor of political science before she entered politics. She served as National Security Advisor to President George W. Bush from 2001 to 2005.
