In this groundbreaking work, acclaimed scholar and cultural critic Toyin Falola explores the profound ways in which Euro America is being transformed by the influence of Africa and its diaspora.
Falola argues that the traditional notions of race and culture in America are being challenged and reshaped by the growing presence of Africans and their descendants. He examines the ways in which African culture is being incorporated into American society, from music and fashion to food and religion.
Falola also explores the rise of Afrofuturism and Afrocentricity, two movements that are reimagining the future of Africa and its diaspora. He argues that these movements are not simply about escapism, but are instead part of a larger project of social and political transformation.
Or How Euro America Is Evolving Toward Africa The Radical Imagination is a timely and important work that offers a fresh and important perspective on the future of race and culture in America. Falola's insights will challenge readers to rethink their assumptions about race and culture, and to imagine a more just and equitable future for all.
